The three things they often do not get to fully indulge in during their lives as riding and show partners. The retirement you have always dreamed of for your partner and friend. 

Welcome to EQ Wellness Care. A beautiful 22-acre pasture, or private/shared paddock option (best for horses with medical needs) in Southern Petaluma managed by professional horseman Taylor Singmaster Shepard and her EQ Wellness Team. Longhorn Lane and Hidden gem Farms offer an option of scenic roaming forage, well maintained extra large paddocks and turnout options in Sonoma County, friendships that are tried true and trusted so your horse can spend their days in the security of a well bonded herd, and the FREEDOM to roam. All while maintaining their carefully curated needs. 

Oh yea, we also take the young horses looking for a softer start. The rescues and misfits. If you have a horse that needs a home… look no further. 

Our Commitment:

  • 2-3x a day hay when needed in addition to ample grass forage 

  • 1x a day individual feeding plan with alfalfa pellets and supplements (owner pays for additional grain and all supplements, EQW team will schedule deliveries/pick ups, storage and administration). 

  • 24/7 access to clean water, salt and minerals

  • Daily wellness check by equine professionals that includes haltering, leading, grooming and handling when appropriate to ensure horses are staying integrated with human interaction 

  • Pasture includes clean, 3 sided shelters and well organized storage system for each horse

  • Paddock options are extensive and LARGE, paddock horses have access to larger turnout when appropriate. Small shared pastures are also available. 

  • Natural fly spray, mane and tail care, coat maintenance  

  • Blanketing / fly masks when appropriate 

  • High quality veterinary and farrier services. EQ Wellness team care will include scheduling and managing regular hoof trims, worming and vaccines. Vet/farrier will bill clients directly. Emergency calls will include additional hourly fees. 

  • Basic vet/wound care will be administered by staff. Cost depends on supplies used and time required. 

    But most importantly, we love your horses like our own and will be the watchful professional eye and the kind and caring safe space for your best friend when you are not able to be there. We will communicate, send pictures, learn your horse's favorite scratch spot and brand of treat. We will give them everything they deserve, and more. 

All Included Monthly Price: $850

Please note exclusions from price such as additional grain, supplements, vet and farrier care, non-included care products, medication, extensive vet supplies etc.
